Sculpey clay is fun.
I like Fimo for it's ability to smooth out, although it is harder to warm up.
I like Sculpey III for how quickly it warms up, and all it's bright colors. But it can get sticky when warm.

In my spare time, I enjoy doing a little sculpey claying.
This page features some of the items I'm made.

In the upper left picture, are some necklaces I've done. They are very colorful, and people notice them right away. Many times, I've worn one and people often remark on how cute or pretty they are.
The bottom left picture are items I make to glue on my scrapbooking cards. Mixing these with the scraps are colorful, dimensional, and just plan fun. Glue the back down or apply with a sticky dot.
In the upper right picture, I designed little mint holder containers for my daughter's baby shower earlier this year. The small picture shows one box. I made about 21 of these. The arrow is pointing to the sculpey heart on the package. Each heart was slightly different, and added pizzaz to the little box. It was well-received.
The lower right picture (and the smaller one above it), shows some of the little figurines I've done. My daughter liked the frog series I did. She took 2 for her desk at work.
I have several on my desk, as do many of my peers around me. For their birthdays, I usually make them a card ... and a little figurine to celebrate. There are some that have quite a few of these little items now.

Using my items I design and often feature on my website, I made all these items for my daughter's baby shower.
Upper left: a card that was displayed, along with some dimensional flowers. Some had sculpey centers.
Upper right shows a game I made. It was a see-thru plastic peanut jar with foam balls inside. The balls were slightly different in size, and the guests were to guess how many balls were inside. (1335 balls!!!) The winner received a gift, and got to take the game home for a future party.
The middle left and bottom picture features the mint gifts with their sculpey hearts.
The middle right shows the closeup of the cap on the game. It's a little scupley bear with a heart, and he's seated next to a mushroom, which you can barely see.
Two flowers made from my creations. The left one has a sculpey center on it.
The card up close. I used some glitter on the card, and you see the flowers on the bottom, and a few for the table top around it. You can see the "How many balls" game in the bakground.
Left: Here's a closeup of the lid on top of the "How many balls?" game.
The little mushroom to the left of the bear is orange and yellow.and was joined to the bear. It could've been taken out of the rest and displayed on a table top or shelf.
Below: The sculpey snake I made for my cube-mate. She makes ragdolls and stuffed animals (sews them), and sells them. I've bought several. One for myself, and several others for daughters and granddaughters.
Her favorite color is yellow; hence the yellow snake, and a ragdoll because that is what SHE DOES!
You can see my sculpey bear in the background. Another peer has a purple one, as she loves purple. (See below.) A little book I made, also of my granddaughter's birthday party several years ago.
I made this cute little mermaid. I put a magnet on her back to hang on my fridge.
4 halloween featured items:
-Oriental lady holding a pumpkin
-Watcher lady holding a pumpkin
-Teen holding a pumpkin
-Dog holding a heart, but sitting on a pumpkin
The dog went with a card to a co-worker last year. The little heart was removable, and she thought she'd broken it right away.
"No," I told her. "It is removable."
"I'm so glad," she replied, sounding relieved. "I didn't want to think I broke it right away!"
This little gal sitting on a block was made for a coworker when she took another job as a goodbye and good luck
gift.

The first 3 across the top are more from the halloween series I made last year. The little witch is on my desk at work. I love her!
There is a man "watcher", and a woman holding her pumpkin, and then my little witch!
The little curved arbor was made for my granddaughter, and I used minature blocks to spell out her name.
There are 2 felt pins.
The little man sits on my index box. This is where I store my passwords to different forums and sites. Also there are websites I'm interested in or tips I've picked up in paint shop pro. All alphabetized, so I can find them whenever I want.
My little opera singer, a square man (no ... not Bob) sitting on a little urn,
the teenager on the phone, a busy bee on top of my computer.
There's a little guy in his pj's, a dog (which my granddaughter took), a sun magnet for my fridge, a little brown Hershey's kiss "kind of guy" holding a candy corn, an owl (sorry, he's blurry ... like the kiss one), a little baby with a pacifer and holding a dog, and finally, "the neighbor".

Here is a fish I made. Actually, I've made a lot of fishes. One of my peers at work has one, and I have more -- someplace.
I have a lot more work in the raw; not baked yet, and I'll feature some of that later.
Lots of necklaces. Just add a chain.
The little "kitty" man is blurry. Sorry. Some just don't photographed as well, and I just haven't learned how to always get a clear shot. I hope I'll do better, in the future.
As I said, the necklaces are striking. People comment on them all the time.
I have another witch at work that I need to get a shot of -- she's really good. And I have some little minature robots that are real cute. Need to do a series of those.
This is some of my old sculpey from 2008 through 2009 and 10. I left this on my old website page. You can access it through the sculpey menu, and new pages will be added and put on the menu. Enjoy!
